JEFF RAVITZ RECEIVES REGIONAL EMMYS IN CALIFORNIA & MICHIGAN

To follow-up the recent announcement of his regional Emmy nominations, Jeff Ravitz has been honored with two regional Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lighting Design from both the Pacific Southwest and the Michigan chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).  Both ceremonies were held on June 15 in their respective locales.

The Emmys acknowledged lighting design and direction for A Salute To Teachers 2012, produced by Channel 4 San Diego for the Cox Cable Network, and A Celtic Awakening, Featuring Faith Marion Robinson, presented by Detroit Public Television and carried by local and national PBS affiliates.

“A lot of things need to go right to receive these awards,” Ravitz comments.  “It starts with a well put-together show, and continues by having the best creative team to work with.  I was fortunate to have all the right factors in my favor.”

Ravitz and his associate, Kristie Roldan, are booked by both stations to return later in 2013 to design new productions.

Ravitz previously received a Primetime Emmy for lighting, as well as regional Emmys from the Pacific Southwest and the Los Angeles chapters of the Television Academy.

Recent projects include the July 1 release of Kevin Hart’s stand-up comedy film release, Let Me Explain, as well as the currently airing PBS special featuring the teen Italian mega-star trio, Il Volo, entitled We Are Love.
