JEFF RAVITZ RECEIVES REGIONAL EMMYS IN CALIFORNIA & MICHIGAN

To follow-up the recent announcement of his regional Emmy nominations, Jeff Ravitz has been honored with two regional Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lighting Design from both the Pacific Southwest and the Michigan chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Both ceremonies were held on June 15 in their respective locales.

Showlight Report: The State Of LEDs

Showlight was held last week in Czech Republic, with multiple sessions on design, technology, and trends. One that seemed to really stand out and create buzz among the attendees, as well as exhibitors and press, was the LED panel addressing “the advantages of LEDS, their use and misuse,” with Jim Tetlow, principal consultant of Nautilus Entertainment; Fred Foster, founder and CEO of ETC; Ryan Fletcher, head of product management, lighting, for ARRI; and Fabiano Besio, co-founder of LDR Luci Della Ribalta.
